Prairie Lodge is owned and operated by Ecumen, which is Minnesota's largest non-profit provider of senior housing and services. Based in Shoreview, Ecumen, which is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), provides a variety of housing choices for people living fully after 50.

Our name comes from the word ecumenical, which in turn is derived from the Greek word oikos, which means "home." Our philosophy and our promise is to create "home" for the people we serve. That means ensuring a warm, welcoming community that our customers enjoy being members of.
